Key Points
In week 44 (October 28–November 3, 2024), visits and hospitalizations following emergency department visits remained stable across all age groups.
Most respiratory indicators are stable or declining, except for bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age (+13%, or +182 visits), influenza/flu-like illness in those aged 15–74 (+19%, or +84 visits), and ENT infections in adults (+7%, or +237 visits), which are on the rise.
Among other indicators, there was an increase in visits for abdominal pain in children under 2 years of age (+11%, or +61 visits), gastroenteritis in those aged 15–74 (+8%, or +89 visits), and vomiting in those aged 75 and older (+8%, or +26 visits). Also worth noting among adults is the increase in visits for conjunctivitis among those aged 75 and older (+17%, or +8 visits).
