Summary

  • Visits and hospitalizations have decreased by 4.5% across all age groups, particularly among children aged 2–14.

  • Among the most common conditions in children under 2 years of age, visits for abdominal pain, urinary tract infections, and chickenpox are on the rise. The most common conditions seen in emergency departments are stable or declining among children aged 2–14 as well as among adults.

  • Emergency room visits for viral meningitis are on the rise among adults and declining among children under 15, with numbers consistent with those observed in previous years. All other seasonal conditions are declining across all age groups.
