High prevalence of chronic kidney disease on Réunion Island: the Rédia (Réunion-Diabetes) Study, 1999–2001.

The incidence of end-stage chronic kidney disease associated with diabetes continues to rise worldwide. The study made it possible to estimate the prevalence of chronic kidney disease prior to the end-stage. (Introduction)
