In Occitanie, according to data available as of April 21, 2022, for week 15 of 2022, the positivity rate was stable, and the testing and incidence rates were down compared to the previous week: a positivity rate of 33.1% (versus 33.3% in week 14 of 2022, a decrease of 0.2 percentage points), incidence rate of 1,266 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (compared to 1,358 in week 14 of 2022, a decrease of 7%) and testing rate of 2,829 per 100,000 inhabitants (compared to 4,073 in week 14 of 2022, a decrease of 6%). At the regional level, incidence and positivity rates were decreasing among those under 45 and stable among those 45 and older. The testing rate was decreasing across all age groups.
The R Effectif estimated from regional SI-DEP data through April 16, 2022, was 0.95 (0.95–0.96), down from the previous week (1.04).
Influenza and Influenza-Like Illness
The region has been in an epidemic phase for 18 weeks. Following an initial wave in late December followed by a high plateau, a second epidemic wave has been underway since mid-March. This epidemic wave appears to be declining this week, but we will need to wait until next week to confirm that this second epidemic peak has passed.
Acute gastroenteritis
Oscour® network: Gastroenteritis activity was moderate in week 15 of 2022. Visits across all age groups for a diagnosis of gastroenteritis continued to decline. In week 15, 462 visits for gastroenteritis were recorded (including 250 for patients under 5 years of age), representing 1.5% of visits (compared to 553 visits in week 14, including 319 for patients under 5).
SOS Médecins network: activity related to gastroenteritis was low in week 15. Procedures for all ages diagnosed with gastroenteritis remained stable compared to the previous week. In week 15, 120 cases for this diagnosis were recorded (including 30 for patients under 5 years of age), representing 5.2% of the overall activity of the SOS Médecins associations (112 cases in week 14).
Sentinelles network: the incidence rate of acute diarrhea cases seen in general practice was 74 per 100,000 [24; 124], a slight decrease compared to the previous week (87 per 100,000).
