Health Monitoring in the Occitanie Region. Update as of April 14, 2022.

COVID-19

In Occitanie, according to data available as of April 13, 2022, for week 14 of 2022, the positivity rate continued to rise, reaching 33.3% (compared to 32.0% in week 13, an increase of 1.3 percentage points). The incidence rate, however, remained stable at 1,354 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (compared to 1,355 in week 13), and the testing rate decreased slightly to 4,067 per 100,000 inhabitants (compared to 4,239 in week 13, a decrease of 4.1%). At the regional level, positivity rates were increasing among those aged 20 and older and decreasing among those under 20 (Table 6). Incidence rates were increasing among those aged 20–30 and 45 and older, and decreasing in other age groups. Testing rates were decreasing among those under 20 and stable in other age groups.

The R Effectif estimated from regional SI-DEP data through April 9, 2022, was 1.04 (1.03–1.05), down from previous weeks (1.25 in week 13 and 1.35 in week 12).

Influenza

  • The region has been in an epidemic phase for 17 weeks. Following an initial wave in late December followed by a high plateau, regional indicators showed an intensification of viral circulation. During week 14, influenza activity appears to be stabilizing.

Acute gastroenteritis

  • Oscour® Network: Gastroenteritis activity was high in week 14 of 2022. Visits across all age groups for a diagnosis of gastroenteritis were slightly higher compared to the previous week. In week 14, 546 visits for gastroenteritis were recorded (including 315 for patients under 5 years of age), representing 1.8% of all visits (versus 518 visits in week 13, including 304 for patients under 5 years of age).

  • SOS Médecins Network: Gastroenteritis activity was low in week 14 of 2022. The weekly number of procedures for all ages diagnosed with gastroenteritis decreased compared to the previous week. In week 14, 112 cases for this diagnosis were recorded (including 35 for patients under 5 years of age), representing 5.4% of the overall activity of the SOS Médecins associations (compared to 125 cases in week 13, including 26 under 5 years of age).

  • Sentinelles Network: the incidence rate of acute diarrhea cases seen in general practice was 92 per 100,000 [51; 133], an increase compared to the previous week (62 per 100,000).
