Dengue, Chikungunya, and Zika

  • Enhanced surveillance for dengue, chikungunya, and Zika began on May 1 and will continue through November 30, the active season for the tiger mosquito (Aedes albopictus) in mainland France.

  • Resurgence of imported dengue cases in mainland France since 2023, with more than 60% returning from the French West Indies, where an epidemic has been ongoing since mid-2023.

  • 10 confirmed cases of imported dengue under investigation, compared to 4 during the same period in 2023.

Measles

  • Resurgence of measles cases in Île-de-France associated with widespread circulation of the virus in Eastern Europe.
