Gonococcal infection in Île-de-France. 2024 data [infographic]

Gonococcal urethritis, also known as gonorrhea, is a sexually transmitted infection caused by the bacterium Neisseria gonorrhoeae. It is primarily transmitted through unprotected sexual intercourse. It mainly affects the genital and urinary tracts, but can also affect the rectum, throat, and eyes. Gonorrhea is the second most common STI in France, after chlamydia. How can it be screened for?
