Key Points
Lower Respiratory Tract Infections (acute lower respiratory tract infections, all etiologies)
Activity continued to decline in emergency departments (visits and hospitalizations following visits) and at SOS Médecins. The incidence rate measured by the Sentinelles network also decreased.
Bronchiolitis (< 1 year)
No alert
Activity in the SOS Médecins network, as well as that recorded in emergency departments (visits and hospitalizations), fluctuated within the ranges observed in previous seasons.
Influenza and influenza-like illnesses
Transition to the post-epidemic phase
Downward trend in all surveillance indicators: SOS Médecins, Sentinelles network, as well as in emergency departments for visits and hospitalizations following visits. Viral circulation was also decreasing.
COVID-19
Activity remained low and stable in emergency departments and at SOS Médecins.
Mortality
After four weeks of excess mortality from all causes (from S01 to S04-2026), mortality data indicated a return to expected levels in S05, a trend that was confirmed in S06 and S07 (unconsolidated data). Flu-related deaths recorded through electronic certification continued to decline.
