Surveillance of occupational diseases in the Centre-Val de Loire region: results for the first half of 2019

Santé publique France, in collaboration with the Occupational Health Inspection (IMT) of the Ministry of Labor, has established a system for health monitoring and epidemiological surveillance of work-related diseases (MCP). In the Centre-Val de Loire region, this initiative has been jointly conducted since 2008 by Santé publique France, the IMT of the Centre-Val de Loire Regional Directorate for the Economy, Employment, Labor, and Solidarity (Dreets), and the Centre-Val de Loire Regional Health Observatory (ORS). Surveillance of occupational diseases involves volunteer occupational physicians, with the support of nurses, reporting all occupational diseases encountered during consultations with employees over two consecutive two-week periods (known as “Occupational Disease Two-Week Periods”). This brochure focuses on the analysis of data from the two fortnights conducted in 2019 in the Centre-Val de Loire region. A total of 3,360 employees were seen during consultations over these two fortnights.
