Monitoring of carbon monoxide poisoning in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. Update as of February 4, 2018.
Since October 1, 2017, 79 cases of carbon monoxide poisoning have been reported in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, including 19 in January. This number of cases is higher than last year (59 during the same period in 2016). The Loire remains the most affected department, with 15 cases since October 1, followed by the Rhône (12 cases), Isère, and Ain (10 cases each). Only one incident was reported in Puy-de-Dôme and Cantal. During these 79 incidents, 327 people were exposed and 154 were transported to hospital emergency rooms. Two deaths were recorded.
