COVID-19
In S13, SARS-CoV-2 viral circulation appears to be slowing down while remaining at a very high level. The incidence rate is 1,194 per 100,000 inhabitants (+14%). The testing rate and positivity rate are also increasing. Incidence is rising among adults over 20 years of age and throughout the region except in Cantal.
SOS Médecins calls are stabilizing, and emergency room visits continue to rise. In ESMS, the number of new episodes and the number of cases are increasing in Week 13.
As of April 5, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is rising, while the number of patients in critical care units remains stable. In S13, the number of new hospitalizations has increased by 10%, and the number of new critical care admissions by 37%. The highest hospitalization rates are observed in Allier and Cantal. The number of new hospital deaths is rising.
Flu
Oscour® Network: visits across all age groups for a diagnosis of influenza/flu-like syndrome are stabilizing. In Week 13, 1,517 emergency department visits for influenza/flu-like syndrome were recorded (-2.6% compared to Week 12), representing 3.2% of all visits across all age groups (stable compared to Week 12). Of these 1,517 visits, 183 were followed by hospitalization, representing a hospitalization rate of 12.1% for this diagnosis. Hospitalizations for influenza/influenza-like illness accounted for 2.3% of all hospitalizations in Week 13, still an increase compared to the previous week (1.9% in Week 12, Table 9). Within the region, hospital pressure remains consistent.
SOS Médecins Network: The number of consultations for influenza-like illness remains high but continues to decline in Week 13, with 1,129 consultations for influenza/influenza-like illness recorded (1,252 consultations in Week 12), representing 17.7% of total activity (19.4% in Week 12). According to data from the Sentinelles network, the incidence rate of influenza-like illness cases seen in general practice in Week 13 remains stable at 240 per 100,000 (95% CI [174–306]), compared to 239 per 100,000 inhabitants (95% CI [190–288]) in Week 12.
Acute gastroenteritis
Oscour® Network: emergency department visits for all ages due to a diagnosis of gastroenteritis account for 2.0% of total activity, down from the previous three weeks.
SOS Médecins Network: activity for gastroenteritis across all age groups is low in Week 13, at 5.3%.
Sentinelles Network: the incidence rate of acute diarrhea cases seen in general practice was 71 per 100,000 inhabitants (95% CI [34; 108]) in Week 13, stable compared to the previous 3 weeks.
