    • Participation in LaboVIH: comprehensive; since 2020, laboratory participation in the LaboVIH survey has remained comprehensive.

    • Mandatory reporting (MR): stable; in 2024, reporting completeness has remained relatively stable for the past 7 years, hovering around 75%.

  • HIV testing: on the rise

    • The rate of HIV serology testing in Martinique is increasing in 2024 (249 per 1,000 inhabitants) compared to 2023 and is among the highest rates in France after French Guiana (322 per 1,000 inhabitants).

  • HIV Diagnosis (DO): Stable

    • The number of newly diagnosed HIV-positive cases in Martinique, adjusted for underreporting, missing data, and reporting delays, was 71 in 2024.

  • AIDS diagnosis (DO): stable

    • In Martinique, the number of AIDS diagnoses is stable.

Chlamydia trachomatis (Ct) infection

  • In Martinique, the Ct infection screening rate is 101.8 per 1,000 inhabitants, more than twice the rate in mainland France excluding Île-de-France (45.4 per 1,000 inhabitants) and higher than in 2023. The rate of Ct infection diagnoses is 118.6 per 100,000 inhabitants, higher than the rate in mainland France excluding Île-de-France (77.7 per 100,000 inhabitants). This rate is increasing among men aged 15 to 49 and decreasing among women in the same age group compared to 2023.

Gonococcal infection

  • In Martinique, the screening rate for gonococcal infection is 100.1 per 1,000 inhabitants, more than twice the rate in mainland France excluding Île-de-France (50.0 per 1,000 inhabitants) and increasing compared to 2023. The diagnosis rate for gonococcal infection is 62.6 per 100,000 inhabitants, higher than the rate in mainland France excluding Île-de-France (26.7 per 100,000 inhabitants).

Syphilis

  • In Martinique, the syphilis screening rate is 134.9 per 1,000 inhabitants, more than twice the rate in mainland France excluding Île-de-France (47.7 per 1,000 inhabitants) and higher than in 2023. The syphilis diagnosis rate is 16.1 per 100,000 inhabitants, higher than the rate in mainland France excluding Île-de-France (6.0 per 100,000 inhabitants) and also on the rise compared to 2023.
