HIV Surveillance:
Participation in LaboVIH: comprehensive; since 2022, laboratory participation in the LaboVIH survey has remained comprehensive, with all laboratories participating in the survey in Guadeloupe, Saint Martin, and Saint Barthélemy.
Mandatory reporting (MR): comprehensive; in 2024, mandatory reporting is also comprehensive following a steady increase since 2022. These figures are higher than those observed in mainland France.
HIV testing: on the rise
The rate of HIV serology testing in Guadeloupe, Saint Martin, and Saint Barthélemy is on the rise in 2024 (237 per 1,000 inhabitants) compared to 2023, close to that of Martinique (249 per 1,000 inhabitants) and among the highest rates in France after French Guiana (322 per 1,000 inhabitants). In 2024, there was a significant decrease in the proportion of tests conducted at an advanced stage compared to the 2020–2023 period.
HIV Diagnosis (DO): Declining
The number of new HIV diagnoses, adjusted for underreporting, missing data, and reporting delays in Guadeloupe, Saint Martin, and Saint Barthélemy, was 65 in 2024.
AIDS diagnosis (DO): stable
In Guadeloupe, Saint Martin, and Saint Barthélemy, the number of AIDS diagnoses is stable.
Chlamydia trachomatis (Ct) infection
In Guadeloupe, the Ct infection screening rate is 100.4 per 1,000 inhabitants, more than twice the rate in mainland France excluding the Île-de-France region (45.4 per 1,000 inhabitants) and higher than in 2023. The diagnosis rate for Ct infection is 138.5 per 100,000 inhabitants, also higher than the rate in mainland France excluding Île-de-France (77.7 per 100,000 inhabitants) and on the rise among men aged 15 to 25 compared to 2023.
Gonococcal infection
In Guadeloupe, the screening rate for gonococcal infection is 104.3 per 1,000 inhabitants, more than twice the rate in mainland France excluding Île-de-France (50.0 per 1,000 inhabitants) and on the rise compared to 2023. The diagnosis rate for gonococcal infection is 57.6 per 100,000 inhabitants, also higher than the rate in mainland France excluding the Île-de-France region (26.7 per 100,000 inhabitants).
Syphilis
In Guadeloupe, the syphilis screening rate is 128.6 per 1,000 inhabitants, more than twice the rate in mainland France excluding the Île-de-France region (47.7 per 1,000 inhabitants) and higher than in 2023. The syphilis diagnosis rate is 19.1 per 100,000 inhabitants, higher than the rate in mainland France excluding the Île-de-France region (6.0 per 100,000 inhabitants) and also on the rise compared to 2023.
