Invasive meningococcal infections are associated with significant morbidity and mortality. Reporting and surveillance of these infections are intended to strengthen prevention efforts against this disease.

  • Detect clusters of cases and unusual situations

  • Assess and monitor vaccination coverage

  • Promote vaccination against invasive meningococcal C infections for infants and adolescents
