Community Gardens and Chlordecone in Martinique: Advice on Prevention

Like Guadeloupe, Martinique is implementing a "community garden" program to prevent residents from consuming food grown in gardens contaminated with the pesticide chlordecone. Investigators measure chlordecone levels, identify families’ dietary habits, and then advisors tailor the information to prevent any risks. Community gardens and food pantries will be available to families in need.
