Key Points

  • In Week 19 (May 4–10, 2026), activity at SOS Médecins clinics increased among children aged 2–14 (+9%, or 1,540 visits) and among those aged 75 and older (+7%, or 436 visits). Activity remained stable in other age groups.
  • Among 2- to 14-year-olds, there was an increase in procedures for asthma attacks (+27%, or 79 more procedures), lower respiratory tract infections (+11%, or 87 more procedures), and bronchitis (+11%, or 49 more procedures). In addition, procedures for upper respiratory tract conditions increased among those aged 2–14 (+20%, or 1,350 more procedures) and among those aged 15–74 (+6%, or 571 more procedures), and those for pneumonia among those aged 75 and older (+14%, or 46 more procedures).
  • Among adults, there was an increase in procedures for urinary tract infections (+12%, or +254 procedures), as well as for general health deterioration among those aged 75 and older (+46%, or +110 procedures). There was also an increase in procedures for depressive disorders among adults (+12%, or +37 procedures) and for anxiety among those aged 15–44 and those aged 65 and older (respectively +6% and +26%, or +64 and +48 procedures).
  • Finally, there was an increase in procedures for:
    • gastroenteritis among those aged 2–14 (+7%, or 125 more cases) and among those aged 15–74 (+14%, or 421 more cases);
    • acute abdominal pain among 2- to 14-year-olds (+43%, or +165 visits) and among 15- to 74-year-olds (+8%, or +110 visits)
    • conjunctivitis in children under 2 years of age (+18%, or +54 cases) and in adults (+11%, or +572 cases).
