  • In 2023–2024, RSV circulated epidemically during the usual season in Guadeloupe and Martinique, following the trend of the previous season after the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. In contrast, no seasonal outbreaks have been detected in Saint Martin and Saint Barthélemy since 2020.

  • In the regions of Guadeloupe and Martinique, the bronchiolitis season for the 2023–2024 year began in mid-September (W2023-38) and lasted 20 and 16 weeks, respectively, ending in week W2024-05 (early February) and W2024-01 (early January). Epidemic peaks were recorded in mid-October (W2024-42) in Guadeloupe and mid-November in Martinique (W2024-42).

  • Compared to the previous season, which was of nearly similar duration, the 2023–2024 season in Guadeloupe had a moderate impact on activity in private practice and emergency departments. In Martinique, the epidemic lasted 4 weeks less than the previous year with a nearly similar impact.
