Validated or Promising Interventions for the Prevention of Unplanned Pregnancies: A Literature Review.

France has good contraceptive coverage; however, the rate of unintended pregnancies remains high. This article presents the main scientific findings on effective interventions for preventing unintended pregnancies among different populations. This review of the literature was conducted using a specific methodology for selecting and analyzing scientific literature and classifying the identified interventions. This study identified sixteen types of effective interventions related to contraceptive use, emergency contraception use, or the reduction of unintended pregnancies. The interventions target children, adolescents, or adult women. This document should facilitate the selection of new initiatives and the optimization of ongoing efforts in this field.
