Health Surveillance of Mortality. Weekly Update, November 8, 2016.

Summary

Nationally, an increase in mortality was observed in weeks 41 and 42, at the upper limit of normal fluctuations. This increase particularly affects people aged 75 and older.

At the regional level, mortality over these two weeks increased notably in the Grand Est, Île-de-France, and Occitanie regions (week 41) and in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur and Brittany regions (week 42).
