COVID-19

  • In Week 21, the circulation of SARS-CoV-2 in Normandy continued to decline, with an adjusted incidence rate (IR) (accounting for the effect of the May 26 holiday) of 199 per 100,000 inhabitants (-21%) and a positivity rate of 17.8% (-0.8 percentage points).

  • This decline in the IR was observed across all departments in Normandy and for all age groups.

  • In the pre-hospital setting, activity in emergency departments for suspected COVID-19 and the number of interventions by SOS Médecins were decreasing.

  • The number of hospitalized patients was decreasing, including in critical care units. The number of deaths in hospitals was decreasing, while it remained stable at a very low level in long-term care facilities.
