COVID-19

  • In Week 28, SARS-CoV-2 circulation in Normandy was declining. The incidence rate was down but remained high, at 976 per 100,000 inhabitants (-12% compared to Week 27). The testing rate was also decreasing (-13%). The positivity rate was stable (+0.2 percentage points) but remained high. This decline in the incidence rate was observed in all departments of Normandy.

  • In pre-hospital care, the number of calls handled by SOS Médecins was decreasing, and the number of emergency room visits was stable.

  • The number of new hospital admissions was down across all departments and in critical care units. The number of deaths was rising in hospitals while it was falling in long-term care facilities.
