How the Vanves Maternal and Child Health Center works to combat social health inequalities.

At the PMI in Vanves, a team of professionals offers personalized care to new mothers and their children. The team—comprising pediatric nurses, doctors, a midwife, a psychologist, and an educator—supports families after childbirth. The PMI provides regular check-ups, including weigh-ins, medical consultations, and home visits. Some of these families face difficult socioeconomic circumstances, as illustrated by the story of this young mother and her child, presented here.
