Influenza Surveillance in Martinique. Update as of March 15, 2019.

Epidemiological Situation

In Martinique, the increase in influenza activity indicators has not continued over the past two weeks. The data should be interpreted with caution given the school holidays and the closure of many medical practices. Since the start of the epidemic, 9,600 people have consulted a general practitioner for flu-like symptoms. The predominant virus isolated is type A, both in hospitals and in the community. Seven severe cases admitted to intensive care have been recorded, one of whom has died.⇒ The epidemic continues in Martinique
