Influenza Surveillance in Guadeloupe and the Northern Islands. Update as of May 3, 2019.

Summary of the Epidemiological Situation

Influenza activity has returned to baseline levels in Guadeloupe and Saint Barthélemy. In Guadeloupe, slightly more than 9,000 cases have been estimated in private practice since the start of the epidemic; 15 severe cases have been reported, five of which resulted in death. Influenza A virus has been identified primarily in private practice and in hospitals.
In Saint Barthélemy, 149 cases have been reported in private practice since the start of the epidemic, and no severe cases have been recorded.
