Influencing dietary behaviors: regulation, marketing, and the impact of health communications.

In response to rising rates of overweight, obesity, and chronic diseases, many countries have taken steps to promote healthy eating and regular physical activity. In France, since 2007, the law has required manufacturers to include health messages in advertisements for processed food products. The collective expert review conducted for Santé publique France analyzes this policy and suggests ways to improve it.
