  • LaboVIH Testing: HIV testing activity, which had risen sharply in 2019, declined in 2020 (-29%)

  • HIV Diagnoses: The number of new HIV diagnoses in 2020 decreased

  • AIDS Diagnoses: The number of AIDS diagnoses in 2020 decreased compared to 2019

  • AIDS: One death reported in 2019

  • Use of e-DO: 100% of mandatory reports submitted electronically

STI Screening (SNDS)

  • In 2020, regardless of the STI, a decline in screening rates was observed in Mayotte as well as at the national level.

  • Syphilis: 13.7% decrease in screenings (men and women) in 2020 compared to 2019

  • Chlamydia trachomatis infections: 4.6% decrease in testing in 2020 compared to 2019

  • Gonococcal infections: higher screening rate among women in 2020 (14 per 1,000 population versus 6.4 per 1,000 among men), and stable compared to 2019, for both men and women

Prevention

  • From November 29 to December 5, 2021, several screening and prevention initiatives are being offered in Mayotte
