Recommendations from the French National Authority for Health on the management of sudden infant death.

Recent conceptual developments regarding infant mortality in our country, based on statistical considerations, have prompted a necessary reevaluation of how such cases are managed from medical, humanistic, and epidemiological perspectives. The French National Authority for Health has therefore recently developed professional guidelines aimed at improving practices and our understanding of this sensitive and challenging issue. (R.A.)
