To better define literacy!

Literacy is an evolving concept, now defined as the ability of an individual, a setting, and a community to understand and communicate information through language across various media in order to actively participate in society in different contexts. Literacy is therefore not limited to a person’s ability to access reading, writing, and thus knowledge. It must also include the environment’s capacity to mobilize resources so that the individual can understand and communicate, particularly for the benefit of their health.
