Key Points

COVID-19

  • Virological circulation difficult to interpret due to disruptions in diagnostic activity

  • In urban areas, healthcare utilization for suspected COVID-19 cases is stable (SOS Médecins), and utilization for acute respiratory infections of all etiologies is declining (Réseau Sentinelles)

  • In hospitals, critical care admissions are stable, while conventional hospitalizations and emergency room visits are declining

  • Vaccination coverage among those aged 60 and older, who are eligible for the second booster, remains insufficient (35.9%).

Bronchiolitis

  • Epidemic phase for the 5th consecutive week

  • High epidemic activity at SOS Médecins and in the region’s emergency departments (levels higher than in previous seasons in hospitals)

  • High circulation of RSV and other respiratory viruses responsible for bronchiolitis in infants

  • Significant pressure on pediatric healthcare services

Flu

  • Non-epidemic activity: low levels of care utilization and activity in emergency departments and at SOS Médecins

  • Decrease in the incidence rate of influenza-like illnesses estimated by the Sentinelles network

Acute gastroenteritis

  • Low activity: stable in emergency departments and at SOS Médecins
