  • A decline in the incidence rate in 2020 and 2021 but an increase in 2022;

  • An incidence rate in 2022 similar to those observed in 2018 and 2019;

  • People aged 15–24 were most affected in 2022;

  • 10% of cases died during the 2017–2022 period;

  • A majority of serogroup B cases during the 2017–2022 period;

  • Emergence of an IIM B strain in Strasbourg in November 2022.
