Key Points

COVID-19

In Week 14, viral circulation stabilized at the regional level:

  • Incidence, positivity, and testing rates are stable across all age groups and departments, except among those aged 65–74, where a slight increase is observed.

  • The BA.2 sublineage has become the dominant strain in S09. It accounts for 97% of interpretable sequences from the Flash S13 survey.

  • Increase in emergency room visits for suspected COVID-19.

  • Decrease in new hospitalizations and new admissions to critical care.

  • Decrease in the number of COVID-19 cases in long-term care facilities.

Bronchiolitis

  • 7th week outside of an epidemic.

  • In week 14, indicators related to bronchiolitis were stable in hospital emergency departments.

Acute gastroenteritis

  • High level of activity.

  • In week 14, activity related to gastroenteritis showed a slight increase in hospital emergency departments.

Influenza and influenza-like illness

  • 5th week of the epidemic phase.

  • In week 14, activity related to influenza-like illnesses was slightly higher in hospital emergency departments.
