  • Decrease in the number of reports of the 20I/501Y.V1 (Alpha) variant, which is predominant in the region, and stabilization for the 20H/501Y.V2 (Beta) and 20J/501Y.V3 (Gamma) variants. 5 cases of the 20I/484K variant reported in the region, including a family cluster of 3 cases

Prevention

  • Vaccination: in the Centre-Val de Loire region as of June 2, 1,049,498 people have received at least one dose (CV: 41.0%) and 489,734 people are fully vaccinated (CV: 19.1%)

  • Results of the CoviPrev survey (May 17–19, 2021)

    • Decrease in adherence to hygiene and distancing measures

    • Decrease in reported depressive symptoms

  • Importance of consistently following preventive measures and limiting contacts and travel

  • If symptoms develop, immediate isolation is required, and a test should be taken as soon as possible
