COVID-19: Epidemiological Update for the Centre-Val de Loire Region as of July 1, 2021

Key Points

In Week 25, a more moderate improvement in virological surveillance indicators was observed amid a stabilization in the testing rate.

  • Decrease in the incidence rate across all departments, less pronounced than the previous week (except in Loir-et-Cher, where the incidence rate is slightly up) and across all age groups

  • Stabilization of the positivity rate and testing rate

  • Decrease in emergency room visits for suspected COVID-19

  • Increase in the proportion of procedures performed for suspected COVID-19 cases by SOS Médecins

Prevention:

  • Vaccination: In the Centre-Val de Loire region as of July 1, 1,341,647 people have received at least one dose (vaccination coverage 52.4%) and 841,060 people are fully vaccinated (vaccination coverage 32.9%).
