Local cases

  • No indigenous cases have been identified in mainland France.

Imported cases

From May 1, the start of enhanced surveillance, through May 27, 2025, the following were identified:

  • 237 imported cases of dengue (n=210 in departments colonized by Aedes albopictus).

  • 341 imported cases of chikungunya (n=321 in departments colonized by Aedes albopictus). Of note is the identification of 6 imported cases from Madagascar, indicating the transmission of chikungunya in that country.

  • 1 imported case of Zika (n=1 in departments colonized by Aedes albopictus).
