  • For July 28 and 29, 41 departments in 7 regions were placed under an orange heat wave alert. The health analysis covering the duration of the heat wave will be available starting Wednesday, July 31.

Syndromic surveillance

  • In Week 30 (July 22–28, 2024), emergency room visits and SOS Médecins calls remained stable across all age groups compared to the previous week.

  • During the first week of the Olympic Games, the number of cases handled by participating SAMU teams remained low (141 cases) and involved young patients with minor conditions, most of whom did not require transport to a healthcare facility.

Wastewater Surveillance

  • In week 30, a general trend toward stabilization in SARS-CoV-2 levels in wastewater was observed across France.
