A supportive learning environment for patients who are learners

Founded fifteen years ago, the University of Patients – Sorbonne supports patient engagement in the healthcare system and beyond by offering degree programs. To validate the experiential knowledge that patients gain from their illness, the university employs a pedagogy centered on attention and care. It is through this approach that experiential knowledge can be incorporated into a process of personal and collective transformation.
