SOS Médecins National Newsletter, October 26, 2010

Over the past week, the total volume of activity at SOS Médecins clinics has remained stable across all age groups and geographic areas.

The "Asthma" indicator for children over 2 years old has increased slightly compared to last week. Calls for "bronchiolitis and respiratory conditions in infants" among children under 2 years old are stable across all regions.

The "gastroenteritis" indicator has been rising steadily for several weeks. It accounts for approximately 15% of call reasons.

There has been a slight increase in clinical influenza diagnoses, while the reasons for calls regarding flu-like symptoms have remained at the same level since early October (graphs not shown here).

The number of deaths certified by the SOS Médecins associations is similar to that of the previous week.
