In Week 40 (October 4–10, 2021), total activity at SOS Médecins clinics increased across all age groups (+20%, or +13,802 procedures). This increase applies to all indicators except for medical procedures for general malaise and suspected COVID-19, which are down. Since monitoring began on March 3, 2020, 249,646 medical procedures for suspected COVID-19 have been performed.

Among seasonal indicators, there has been an increase in procedures across all age groups for gastroenteritis (+35%, or +1,257 procedures) and bronchitis (+28%, or +1,055 procedures). Among children under 2 years of age, there has been an increase in procedures for bronchiolitis (+55%, or +126 procedures) and infectious conjunctivitis (+47%, or 67 procedures). Bronchiolitis is the third most common diagnosis among children under 2 years of age and is at a higher level than in previous years. Among adults, there was an increase in cases of acute abdominal pain (+31%, or 307 cases) and, among those aged 75 and older specifically, for deterioration in general health (+33%, or 51 cases) and respiratory conditions (upper respiratory tract and pneumonia, or 83 cases).
