Health Surveillance of Mortality. Weekly Update, October 20, 2015.

Summary

Based on data recorded at the civil registry offices of a sample of 1,000 municipalities (covering nearly 70% of national mortality), mortality observed during week 41 (October 5–11, 2015) showed a moderate increase but remained within the upper limits of expected fluctuations for this period; this increase was observed primarily among people aged 65 and older (Figures 1–3).

1,044 electronic death certificates were recorded during week 42 (October 12–18), a figure comparable to those of the previous three weeks.
