Epidemiological Situation

Since the start of the school year, an increase in visits for acute gastroenteritis has been observed in emergency departments on Réunion. In week 36, activity related to acute gastroenteritis was at a high level.
This trend is also being observed in private practice, where an increase in consultations for acute diarrhea has been reported by the sentinel physician network.
In this context, it is important to remind the public of hygiene measures to limit the spread of this disease within the population.
