Epidemiological Situation

Four clusters of dengue cases have been identified in Saint Pierre, Saint Gilles les Hauts, La Possession, and Bellemène, indicating the presence of virus transmission chains on the island. The detection of six new locally acquired cases in Bellemène over the past few weeks highlights the risk of increased viral circulation in Réunion. The epidemiological situation corresponds to Alert Level 2A* of the arbovirus control plan (“Identification of moderate local viral circulation”).
