Individual Monitoring
Week 17 (April 20–26): Continued decline in the number of new COVID-19 cases (10 vs. 15 in Week 16)
Since March 11, 2020: 420 confirmed cases of COVID-19
Virological surveillance
In Week 17, a decrease in the SARS-CoV-2 positivity rate in public and private laboratories and an increase in the number of tests performed
Surveillance in long-term care facilities, including nursing homes
As of April 27, 2020, 12 facilities reported at least one possible case (whether confirmed or not).
Hospital surveillance
Oscour® Network: In Week 17, a decrease in the number of admissions for suspected COVID-19, which accounted for 0.5% of total activity (vs. 1% in Week 16)
Sentinel intensive care units: since March 11, 2020, 12 patients have been admitted to intensive care; 1 remains hospitalized as of April 28, 2020
Mortality surveillance
No excess mortality detected through week 16
Two death certificates noting “suspected COVID-19” but with negative RT-PCR tests for SARS-CoV-2.
