Between June 5 and June 11, 2024, 28 cases of cholera were reported in Mayotte, bringing the total number of cases recorded in the department since March 18, 2024, to 166 (162 confirmed and 4 probable cases)
Of these, 145 were locally acquired and 21 were imported
Two active outbreaks in the municipality of Mamoudzou: Passamainty (29 cases since the first cholera cases appeared in Mayotte) and a new outbreak in Tsoundzou 1 (8 cholera cases in one week)
No new cases of cholera in Koungou since June 6, 2024
14 severe cases requiring intensive care and 2 deaths have been recorded
