The region experienced two heat waves during the summer of 2025. The heat’s impact on health resulted in 745 heat-related deaths over the course of the summer. In addition, there were 1,715 emergency room visits (1,100 of which led to hospitalization) and 343 SOS Médecins calls for iCanicule.
