Key Findings

  • Both in hospitals and in private practice, the number of asthma diagnoses remains low.

  • The number of allergy diagnoses made in hospitals is rising slightly, but this trend is not observed in private practice.

  • Whether in hospitals or in private practice, the number of heatstroke diagnoses is on the rise.

  • According to the surveillance map from the National Aerobiological Surveillance Network (RNSA), the entire Lorraine region is at moderate risk for grass pollen allergies for the period from July 12 to 19, 2013.

  • Regarding the surveillance of emerging respiratory viruses, no cases have been confirmed to date in the Lorraine region. However, two cases were confirmed at MERSCoV centers in France in May.
