Health Monitoring in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. Bulletin of September 4, 2025.
Key Points
COVID-19
At this time of year, changes in indicators are usually due to population movement related to summer vacations. Despite the continued increase in SARS-CoV-2 detection in wastewater since mid-July in the region (as in France), the circulation of the virus has not had a significant impact on the healthcare system.
A slight increase in the proportion of suspected COVID-19 cases this week: 0.3% of emergency room visits and 1.7% of SOS Médecins calls, corresponding to 37 (vs. 94 and 84 for the same week in the past two years) and 43 cases (vs. 114 and 58) treated, respectively.
Extreme heat, heat wave
No heatwave currently underway.
Indicators for heat-related illnesses are at low levels
Non-specific SurSaUD surveillance
No unusual increase in all-cause activity among SOS Médecins associations and emergency services. Activity remains at levels observed during the same period in the two previous summer seasons
