Key Points 

Leptospirosis 

  • The seasonal resurgence of leptospirosis has entered a decline phase following an epidemic peak in March. To date, 196 locally acquired cases have been reported.

Dengue and Chikungunya

  • 46 cases of chikungunya and 231 cases of locally acquired dengue have been detected since the beginning of the year. The weekly number of dengue cases remains stable.

Flu-like syndrome 

  • No public health impact.

Bronchiolitis in children under 2 

  • Health indicators on the rise.

Acute gastroenteritis

  • Health indicators have remained stable over the past few weeks.

COVID-19 

  • No health impact in hospitals.

Smallpox B (Mpox)

  • 15 cases (including 10 imported cases) were reported in Réunion between S05 and S23/2026.
