Monitoring of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning. Bulletin of December 21, 2009.
Update for Weeks 48 and 49 (November 23–December 6, 2009):
The weekly number of reported cases of carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning saw a moderate increase compared to the previous two weeks. Nevertheless, this number remains lower than that observed during the same period in 2008;
Two incidents of mass CO poisoning occurred in public places (a gymnasium and a church), exposing a total of 37 people to CO fumes. According to information available at the time of the report, a propane-powered space heater was linked to the mass CO poisoning incident that occurred in the church.
