Monitoring of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning. 2009–2010 Heating Season Report.
Update on Weeks 3 and 4 (January 18–31, 2010)
The number of reported cases of carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning is down compared to previous weeks;
one report of accidental domestic CO poisoning involved 13 people, including one fatality. According to information available at the time of the report, a suspected case of CO poisoning had been reported the previous day in connection with occupants feeling unwell. Three reports of accidental domestic CO poisoning exposed 6 people. The investigation into the cause of these CO poisonings is currently underway by the agencies responsible for the environmental investigation.
