Access to information for people with disabilities is a public health issue. Nearly two million French people have a visual impairment. These individuals may face barriers in accessing the information they need to take an active role in their own health, just like everyone else. This guide is the result of a three-year pilot project conducted by INPES, with support from the National Solidarity Fund for Autonomy (CNSA) and professionals in the field. Drawing on a variety of experiences and research—without claiming to be exhaustive—it provides practical solutions for anyone working in the field of communication who wishes to create information accessible to as many people as possible.
